BIO:
In my truly humble opinion the female form, strong yet frail, angular with soft curves, is the most impressive subject for a photographer to shoot. I shoot this, sports, art & scenery and love to work with light, angles, and patterns to bring all to a more interesting & poignant level. I have been into photography for 25 years and have been a pro for the last 13 in the fashion, glamour, print and artistic realms.

I have worked for Click & Smithe Atl Models and freelanced for many others. Clients include Absolute, Under Armor, Worth Sports, Doeringer Guitars (www.DoeringerGuitars.com ) and countless Make-up, Hair and Fashion vendors. I also write for and manage a team of bloggers for the Gwinnett Braves and Atlanta’s AAA affiliate team.

GOALS:
To get better at what I do everyday by learning from the people around me, even if I am mentoring them.

CURRENT PROJECTS/ UPCOMING EVENTS:
Countless shoots, I stay pretty busy. Some of the more interesting include an underwater video shoot for Doeringer Guitars, Events for USSSA Softball, and recurring events for the Gwinnett Braves.

WHY HE ROCKS:
I feel my best quality is capturing any body shape & height to its fullest potential. I have a very creative sense and an artistic flair. I also have the ability to bring out the best in a subject by either letting her run with an idea or by instruction. Either way, the melding of the team of creative supernovas will create a product more valuable than the sum of each separately. It may sound corny but it is a true statement. So don’t think out of the box, break out of it.

Bio & Goals:
Born in Eastern North Carolina. I moved to Atlanta, Georgia after high school to attend the Art Institute of Atlanta. From there I went to work for rock bands as a drum tech as I was already a drummer. I had already been taking snapshots quite a bit for years at that point.

Eventually I got better and I decided to pursue a second career in photography. I have since accumulated a large number of photos of a vast array of subjects, from birds and bands to barns and beaches. The extensive travel has allowed me to grow this database of photos as well as become a better photographer. This site showcases an assortment of subjects I’ve photographed over the years.

In recent years I attended and continue to attend the annual Nikon School as well as The Rocky Mountain School of Photography workshop. My best teacher has been constant practice. I’m almost constantly thinking of some aspect of photography.

When I’m not on the road I shoot out of my home studio located in downtown Atlanta. There I can shoot single, couple, family and group shots as well as products up to bicycle size.

Bio & Goals:
I grew up in Richmond, Virginia in a traditionally Jewish household with both parents as lawyers. I moved on to and graduated from Georgia Tech in 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. I work full-time as a mechanical engineer for an Avionics firm just outside of Atlanta. I do hope that one day I can use my creative skills and background to make a difference in the world and the community through photography. In other words, it has been a dream of mine to make photography be my full-time occupation, as long as I still enjoy it.

Whether it be in engineering, design, music, art and photography, I’ve always had a creative mind and been one-of-a-kind and unique in my style for creating art. I believe that is why I’ve been told I have a unique style of photography. I enjoy shooting nature in its natural, undisturbed state. I also enjoy shooting people and things that don’t belong but are placed in the same situation or location. I also have a profound interest in shooting people with tattoos and piercings and would love to help educate people on the art of tattooing and the art of tattoos. I believe that tattoos and piercings get a bad rap in modern society, and sometimes it’s deserved, but most of the time it’s not. Tattoos and people with tattoos should be treated like the old saying, “Don’t judge a book by its cover.”

 Bio:
I have been doing makeup since I was in middle school; attacking my friend’s with ambush makeovers. In high school, I needed to express my obsession with cosmetics, so I joined the drama club to do theatrical makeup for our school’s various productions. Then I shortly became the makeup director. In college, I couldn’t escape my love of makeup, so I started to incorporate it into my assignments for art school. Photography became an outlet for me to truly capture the works I created in makeup. After graduating with a BFA in Digital Art in 2006, I worked on dozens of freelance projects doing hair and makeup throughout the state of Georgia. Then I came across, PinUpGirl! Cosmetics when it was in Little 5 Points over 3 years ago. I was hired as a shop girl who did makeup on the side. Then I was given the position of store manager where I performed as a makeup artist and photographer. In the summer of 2009, after a year of having had the shop relocate to Grant Park, I became owner. My goals are simple for myself and my company. I would like the shop and our brand to keep expanding to an online store and have multiple locations around North America and possibly the world; reminiscent of our favorite fashion houses. I would like to broaden my career in makeup, hair styling and photography with more varied and unique projects involving film and television.

This journey started for me years ago. I was the Creative Director for a Fortune 500 company burning out fast. “Creative” was my title but working within the confines of a conservative company felt anything but creative.
So, it was move on or suffocate.

Basically I turned a hobby into a career. With my background as an art director on commercial photo shoots it was an easier transition for me than for most.

I was asked recently why I choose to devote so much time to pin-up photography. I had to think about it for a second to give a completely honest answer. What came to me was this: I love photographing the female form. However, much of the modern day photography of women I see lacks a certain creativity, sexual honesty and humor that the artist’s of old seemed to be able to capture. So, it’s really not as much about the wardrobe or the hair and makeup looking “period”, as it is about capturing the essence behind every concept. I’ve worked with celebrities, pro sports, high end portraiture… nothing is more gratifying than creatively photographing the beauty in women.
